Rock County Police Use Aerial Detail to Nab 175 MPH Motorcyclist

ROCK COUNTY, Wis. – The Wisconsin State Patrol recently used an aerial enforcement detail to catch a motorcyclist speeding over 175 mph on I-39 and I-90.

The State Patrol often conducts these aerial campaigns to monitor traffic from above, usually with prior notice.

A recent Facebook post from the Wisconsin State Patrol revealed that during this operation in Rock County, a motorcyclist was clocked at 175.7 mph and weaving in and out of traffic.

The pilot followed the motorcyclist and relayed information to ground units, who then stopped the rider without incident.

The motorcyclist was cited for reckless driving, speeding, and not displaying a registration plate. No additional details were provided.
